Issue : Lenovo T61 blue screen after disconnecting / reconnecting the network cable
Brief : There could be many reasons for Blue screen error and system restart. I don’t know how but from last 3 months (Today Dec 2011). The T61 model laptops are started restarting with blue screen error. We updated all the drivers and check still same issue. Then we found the system restarts if the LAN cable is loose, so we installed a new external LAN card, the issue resolved for some time.
Solution
Install all of the latest updates from Lenovo for your hardware, including BIOS, drivers (especially for the network card) and management software. If the problem still exists, download the latest network card driver for your hardware model from Intel.
