How to Install a Network Printer

 

Steps to Install a Printer

 

1: Go to Add a Printer (Start à Settings à Printer & faxes)

 

2: Click on next

 

3: Select the local printer attached to this computer & click on next

 

 

4: create a new port > select a standard TCP/IP Port & click on next

 

 

 

 

 

 

    OR else if standard tcp/ip port is already created you can select from list  (OPTIONAL)

 

5:  click on next

 

 

 

 

6: provide the ip address of the printer & click on next

 

 

7: click on standard & click on next

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

8: click on finish

 

 

9: select the printer name & model, if the model is not available then click on have disk and provide the drivers path

 

                                                                                                have disk

 

 

 

 

10: select the printer model

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

11: replace the existing drivers

 

 

12: make the printer as default

13: do not share the printer

14: print a test page

15: Finish
